Prerequisite and concurrent courses
The two filters: Prerequisite and Concurrent courses, help to visualise the inherent progression built into the courses, and can be used as a tool to plan your studies, if flexibility is needed.

* This course is also available in the autumn semester, though recommended to take on your second semester.
** It is possible to do the Research project both in the Autumn and Spring semesters but it needs to be done the semester right before the thesis.

Choosing courses

Beside the mandatory courses, you need to choose 37,5 ECTS of courses in all.

Of these, a minimum of 22,5 ECTS need to be chosen from the list of specialisation courses offered by the programme.

The remaining 15 ECTS can be used for either additional specialisation courses or courses chosen from the wider list of elective courses offered by other programmes.

* The module can also be used for writing a project under supervision. You can also combine elective modules for a larger study activity of 15 ECTS

** You can choose one of the pre-set specialisations for the programme, or put together an individual specialisation

Find out which semester would be your best semester to travel – you can make a Studyplan with the Study and Career Guidance Office to be sure.
Look at the partnerships for your programme, or consider if going as a freemover could be a solution for you. If any kind of pre-requisites (average grade, language) are mentioned with a partner or host university, make sure you live up to them before applying.

If you are looking for flexibility in your programme, ITU Summer University could be the answer! You may be able to take a course that is part of your programme during the summer. This will give you a meaningful summer-experience and more time to focus on your other activities during the semester.
