Having an account at the IT University of Copenhagen (i.e. a username and password) is the prerequisite for working on ITU computers as well as with the ITU community system.
Services and responsibilities
Being a user at the ITU gives you access to many services in form of hardware and software. Even though these services are primarily for studying purposes, you can use them for private purposes as well, as long as it does not disturb the study-oriented use for other students. You can find the free services we provide here.
Having an ITU account comes with responsibilities such as keeping your password safe and unknown to anybody but you, never use your account for illegal installation, copying or similar activities, and maintaining device hygienics e.g. by keeping OS and software patched and updated. Read all relevant policy documents on the Information Security page.
For information security reasons, the IT Department monitors activity for all ITU accounts.
