A semester of full time studies corresponds to 30 ECTS. The study activities is everything you are registered for: all courses and all projects.
As a maximum you can register for study activities corresponding to 37,5 ECTS in total in one semester.
Structuring your studies
If you choose to register for less than 30 ECTS you need to be aware of the following:
- Unlike previously Student Affairs and Programmes will not follow up on your registrations, which makes it essential for you to make sure they are correct.
- There are different rules and requirements that might come into affect if you do not pass a certain amount of ECTS through out your studies.
- Likewise you should also keep the SU study requirement in mind and be sure you have enough SU for your studies.
Important to be aware of
Please see here for detailed information about the rules to be aware of. It can come in handy if you are in need of adjusting your study plan.
The article will also talk you through the new process related to registration for courses, which has been a natural way to go considering the registration requirement has been discontinued starting September 2024.
Exemption from the rule
If you do not meet the different rules or requirements, you will need an exemption to continue your studies at ITU.
