How to apply

HOW TO

If you wish to apply for an exemption to deviate from existing rules, you must send your application to Student Affairs & Programmes.

It requires you fill out an application and follow the steps described below.

GUIDANCE AND HELP

Please have a careful look at About exemptions before applying. It is very important that you clearly specify exactly what you want to be exempted from.

If you have questions regarding your application or study plan, you are always welcome to contact The Study and Career Guidance.

ABOUT ILLNESS AT EXAMS

When it comes to illness at exams, you often will not need an exemption. Instead you will need to report illness at the exam. Reporting illness at an exam still requires documentation, but the processing time is quicker and is done by the exam team.

Read about Illness at exams.

ILL FOR A LONGER PERIOD

For one specific situation you will have to apply for an exemption though and that is if you are ill during the semester and cannot prepare for or participate in the exam. Then you must apply for an exemption to be deregistered from the exam.

You must apply before the exam starts.
