BootIT

First of all, it is not a prerequisite to be able to program to start your studies in Software Design. But if you do not have programming experience and you would like to get an idea as to what programming is all about before you start, BootIT might be interesting for you.

What is BootIT?
BootIT is an informal workshop held before the semester begins where you are briefly introduced to fundamental programming principles.

Who will benefit from participating?

BootIT is for students without prior experience with programming. At the workshop we will start from scratch with constants, variables, operators, assignments, comments, if-statements and while-loops in Java. If you know these already, you will probably not learn much new in this workshop. You are welcome to participate, but please note that you will not learn any advanced programming during BootIT. More advanced topics will be introduced during the Introductory Programming course in the first semester.

Should I bring anything?
Please bring a laptop.

What if I cannot participate?
BootIT is an offer which some of our new students will benefit from. However, everything that is taught in BootIT will also be addressed during your first semester as well.
