 About Graz
Graz is located in the southeast of Austria, in Styria, and has a strong and proud tradition as a city of excellent education and beauty.
With four universities and four colleges, Graz is home to more than 60.000 students. This makes it a truly cosmopolitan and lively student city famous for its coffee houses, wine bars and inns. In 1999 Graz, was awarded UNESCO World Heritage status for its large, well-preserved historical town center.
With its position just southeast of the alps and Vienna only a two-hour train ride away, Graz offers ample opportunities for exploring both nature and city life, and luckily Austria has a history of prioritising good and affordable train connections.
With its proximity to neighbouring Slovenia, Croatia and Hungary, Graz is  furthermore a good starting point for excursions into the heart of Central Europe.
