This year we will celebrate Ada Lovelace Day with another Code Poetry event, this time together with Isabel Aguilar Johansson (they/them), a code and art enthusiast.

We will begin with a short introduction to different ways of using programming as an artistic medium.

Together, we will draw inspiration from past works, experiments, and artists who uses the language of code in their practice.

We will end the workshop by creating our own, perhaps very first, code poems. Through code, we will explore limitations, structures, conditions, and classes with guidance from texts of anticolonial thinkers.

No coding skills or art skills required. No computers needed – Only curiosity.
