A part of the ITU Career Weeks

Curious about careers in the games industry?

Join us for an exciting event where you’ll gain insider perspectives on two different career paths in game development.

We’re bringing in Nick, a main writer from IO Interactive, who has worked in the game industry for over two decades, shaping narratives and designing engaging gameplay experiences for major titles.

Alongside him, you’ll hear from Maiken, the creative director of indie studio Fuzzy House, who has built a game company from the ground up, creating imaginative and inclusive games for children. Maiken is the Creative Director in Fuzzy House, an award-winning game studio specialised in digital games for kids. Maiken has a unique sense for creating compelling universes and IP’s that build bridge between kids’ digital and physical playscapes and feature handcrafted aesthetics.

They’ll each share their journey - their challenges, creative processes, and what it’s really like to work in both AAA and indie game development.

After their talks, we’ll open the floor for an interactive Q&A session, moderated by Giorgio, a recent ITU graduate and part of Brainglyph, who are currently developing their own game & studio in the ITU NextGen hub. This is your chance to ask all your burning questions about career paths, industry trends, and what it takes to succeed in the world of game development.

Whether you’re dreaming of working at a major studio or starting your own indie project, this event is a great opportunity to gain valuable insights, connect with industry professionals, and get inspired for your future in games.
