“ITU Towards 2030: Digital for Good” strategy text online
Following months of dialogue, reflection, and revision, ITU’s new strategy – ITU Towards 2030: Digital for Good – is now finalised and available for all employees to read online. The strategy has been submitted to the Board of Directors and marks a significant milestone in shaping ITU’s direction for the years ahead.

The final document reflects the many thoughtful and engaged responses received during the hearing process. These contributions helped clarify our language, sharpen our focus, and ensure that the strategy speaks to both our academic strengths and our societal responsibilities. It affirms ITU’s dual commitment to disciplinary excellence and meaningful external engagement – whether through research, innovation, collaboration, or lifelong learning.
Importantly, the strategy speaks directly to ITU as a community. It recognises the shared purpose that connects students, researchers, and administrative staff, and positions ITU not only as a place of work and study, but as a place of belonging.
Moving forward, the strategy will serve as the shared direction for the continued goal setting across the organisation. We will translate the strategic vision into concrete priorities and specific actions. We have in parts of the organisation already begun to develop specific goals within each strategic area. Every year as we move foward, we will revisit both this process and the organisational involvement within each area.
We are grateful to everyone who took part in shaping this vision. Your input has been instrumental in crafting a strategy that is both ambitious and grounded. Thank you for your time, your insight, and your commitment to ITU’s future.
