In December last year, it was announced that ITU would undergo a major facade renovation. Now, the project is about to begin.

The first part of the building to be affected is the B-wing, where work is scheduled to take place from April to June. During this period, you may be affected in the following ways:

  • Part of the parking area will be occupied by temporary site cabins. They will be placed on the gravel section and remain in place throughout the project period, which is expected to last a year.
  • There will be scaffolding outside Analog from early April to early June, as well as some noise from the renovation.
  • The study hall will be closed off temporarily sometime during April and May.

Head of Facilities Management, Malene Holm Smed, knows that the façade renovation will cause considerable inconvenience over the coming year:

“We know this will be inconvenient, and we apologise for the disruption. However, this renovation is necessary. Once the project is complete, the building will be watertight and equipped with solar shading, which will help alleviate some of the heat issues in the classrooms during the summer. We will do our best to keep you updated throughout the process via ReadIT and ITU Student.”
