"Hacking” is slang for creative problem-solving. A hackathon is an event where you turn your craziest ideas into real projects in just 24 hours!
For 24 hours, you'll be learning and building in an energetic environment with people who are as passionate as you are – designers, developers, cybersecurity students, and more! We provide incredible mentors, inspirational Knowledge Breaks, social activities, and more. Basically: you take care of hacking, and we'll take care of you.
At the end, every team presents their project at an open expo. The best solutions in each track are recognized and awarded.
What to expect:
- 24 hours of building, creating & problem-solving
- Snacks, workspaces and wifi included
- Prizes across multiple challenge tracks
- Students from universities across Denmark
What if I don’t know how to code?
RoyalHacks is specifically designed for coders and non-coders alike. Projects win through originality and usefulness, not just technical depth.
No coding experience required!
Our program of Knowledge Breaks will teach you practical skills to start building right away. We also provide all participants with free access to Lovable – an AI-powered app builder that lets anyone build and launch a real web app just by describing it in plain English. Between Lovable, our Knowledge Breaks, and mentors available throughout the event, everyone can contribute!
Whether you're in design, software, cybersecurity, business, or anything else — you belong at RoyalHacks.
No team? No idea? No problem — most people don't have one yet, and that's completely normal. Many hackers find their team through our pre-event Discord or at team-forming activities on the day. All you have to do is show up.
Spots are limited to 120 participants - sign up by clicking 'Read More' below - it's free!
RoyalHacks is built entirely by students.
