It is the ECTS that counts
Notice that the SU study activity requirement (according to the SU rules) is solely based on the amount of ECTS you have passed. It does not matter if you are an active student in the sense that you attend classes, study a lot, or are in compliance with the university’s requirement for study activity.
All that matters is the amount of ECTS you have passed.
You are not allowed to be more than 30 ECTS delayed compared to full-time study progression (30 ECTS per semester)
Study inactive
If you are considered study inactive, you must pass exams so that you are no longer behind by more than 30 ECTS. Alternatively, you can apply for extra SU grant portions at minSU, if your delay is due to illness or special circumstances.
You can easily keep track of your study progress regarding your SU on minSU / Se din SU / Studiefremdrift. Here you will find a visual overview of how many ECTS you have obtained and how many SU grant portions you have used. If you follow the black dots you can see whether you are delayed or not.
You must apply for SU again when you have passed enough ECTS to be considered an active student (30 ECTS or less delayed); your SU will not resume automatically.
Below you can also see examples of the allowed delay in your studies.
