About courses

Your study activities

Each programme consists of modules bricked together with different study activities. To fulfil the requirements in your curriculum, you must follow and pass all modules (all ECTS).

Some courses are mandatory, some you chose as electives, some as specialisation courses and for some electives you can decide to convert the ECTS into a project.

Mandatory Activities

Being eligible for the exam
Some courses have mandatory activities. You need to pass the mandatory activities in order to be eligible for the exam. In the course catalogue, you can see if your courses have mandatory activities.

Missed deadline or failed attempt
If you did not hand-in or pass the mandatory activities for the first deadline, the course manager sets a second deadline. See the course forum for further guidance.

If you do not pass the mandatory activities
You will receive the grade NA (not approved) at the ordinary exam, if the mandatory activities are not approved before the deadline(s) set by the course manager. You will use an exam attempt.

Re-exam
If you did not pass the mandatory activities during the semester, see the course description and course forum for re-exam guidelines or reach out to the course manager for further guidance.
