How to apply for exemptions

HOW TO

If you wish to apply for an exemption to deviate from existing rules, you must send your application to Student Affairs & Programmes.

It requires you fill out an application and follow the steps described below.

GUIDANCE AND HELP

Please have a careful look at About exemptions before applying. It is very important that you clearly specify exactly what you want to be exempted from.

If you have questions regarding your application or study plan, you are always welcome to contact The Study and Career Guidance.

ABOUT ILLNESS AT EXAMS

Illness at exams does not require an exemption. If you are ill in the time surrounding your exam, you will need to report illness at the exam. Reporting illness at an exam requires medical documentation, and your case is handled by the exam team.

You can report illness anytime after the exam has taken place, as long as the documentation relates to the exam in question.

ILL FOR A LONGER PERIOD

However, if you are ill for a longer period during the semester and know beforehand that you cannot prepare for or participate in your exams, you can instead apply for an exemption to deregister from one or more courses.

Deregistering from the course means you will also be deregistered from the exams.
