Call for Buddies for the BSc Study Start 2026

Are you passionate about creating a great and inclusive Study Start for our new BSc students?
We are looking for buddies to join the team facilitating this year’s Study Start for bachelor students!

If you are motivated, inclusive, and passionate about the study life at ITU, we would love to receive an application from you.

As a Buddy, you will be asked to:

  • Organize and facilitate activities during the Study Start.
  • Introduce new students to the university and help them feel at home.
  • Participate and engage in multiple preparation- and teambuilding activities with your fellow buddies and/or tutors prior to Study Start.

As a Buddy, we expect that:

  • You’re excited to meet the new students starting at ITU.
  • You’re able to work and communicate openly in a diverse, fun and supportive team.
  • You have the time and flexibility to fulfil your role.

Important dates

Being a Buddy is considered volunteer work. You can expect a workload of four workdays during the intro week and one workday during Freshers’ Festival.
Besides that, you must participate in the following:

  • Buddy Kick-off: May 2.
  • Big Meeting 2: August 8.
  • Intro Week: August 17, 18, 19, and 21.
  • Freshers' Festival: September 5.
  • Final Evaluation: September 15.

You’re also invited to a non-mandatory Planning/Cabin Trip between August 3-6.

How and when to apply

Please send your cover letter (max one page) in English and relevant CV to the Head Tutor Team.

If you’re okay with it, we would love to receive a funny picture of you as well.

Merge all three into one consecutive PDF-file and send it to studystart@itu.dk
