Your competencies and values

Your competencies and values

Knowing what you're good at can make a big difference - both in your career and in everyday life. It doesn’t have to be complicated.

Just start by thinking about what you enjoy doing, what others often ask you for help with, or what you’ve learned through work, school, or hobbies.

You can for instance start by looking in the curriculum of your study programme. Here, you will find a list of the competencies you have developed while studying your degree.

Reflections are important

When you reflect on your competencies and your values you’re already working on your career. It helps you make better choices, spot new opportunities, and feel more confident about where you're headed.

The more you know about what you can do, the easier it is to grow,
learn, and take the next step - whatever that might be.

In the Study and Career Guidance we have an exercise for you, that you can do at home or with a student advisor.
