The registration process upon arrival in Denmark depends on your citizenship. Whether you are a Nordic citizen, an EU/EEA citizen, or a non-EU/EEA citizen, different procedures apply.

Getting a CPR-number
Your CPR number is your personal social security number in Denmark. It grants you access to free public healthcare and is essential for many everyday tasks, such as opening a bank account, registering at public libraries, and obtaining MitID, which is used for secure communication with public authorities.
How to apply for a CPR number
You can apply at the International House website. Once your application is approved, you will receive an email invitation to collect your CPR number.
Sharing you CPR-number with SAP
After receiving your CPR number, please visit the Student Affairs and Programmes front desk at the IT University so we can update your information in our administrative system. Be prepared to show proof of your CPR number by bringing the health card and photo ID. If you send it through, always use your ITU email for security reasons and remember to attach the relevant documentation.
