Register or unregister During the registration change period you can register and unregister for all your study activities in My Study Activities yourself.
* BSc students are required to be registered for 30 ECTS in their first semester and cannot de-register what they are administratively registered for.
Can I register for any course offered for my programme? Only the courses that still has open seats left are available and only these are featured on the list in My Study Activities.
The list is updated in real time, so once a course is full, it will disappear from the list. Likewise it will reappear if there are suddenly available seats again.
If you only need to register
If you just need to register for a course, you just register of course, without making any de-registration. Remember you can register for 37,5 ECTS in total. (+ a 7,5 ECTS Summer Course)
Switching to another course
As a first step you de-register the course you want cancelled and then afterwards you register for the course you want instead. If you register for a new course before de-registering you can risk a rejection due to not having enough ECTS in your curricula.
No seats available for a course you need?
If the course you want to register for is full, you must choose a plan B. If the course is mandatory for you or it is a course you have taken before, but didn't finish yet please contact sap@itu.dk. For these situations SAP will help with a solution for you.
No ECTS left to use It can happen that your registration ends up being rejected, with the status: “ikke plads”.
It occurs if you do not have room for an extra (similar) study activity in your curricula. Remember to change your registrations in the correct order
Competition for courses - first come, first served It can happen that your registration ends up being rejected, with the status: “afvist”.
The rejection can happen if the course was "taken" by another student accessing the list in My Study Activities, at the same time as you.
A rejected registration might block you from trying to register for the course again. It will appear on the list, but without the possibility for you to register for it.
Contact SAP and have the team correct the registration status, making it possible for you to delete ("throw out") the registration.
When you have deleted the registration, you should be able to register for the course that was blocked from you before.
Or if you just missed out on the spot, then at least you are free to register again if a spot opens.
Registration max
Remember you cannot exceed the registration limit of 37,5 ECTS, unless it is because you are registering for a Summer University course on top.
Access to LearnIT
When you have managed to register, it can take up to 24 hours before you are given access to your course in LearnIT.
Binding course registration
After the registration change period has ended, your registration is binding. You have to conclude the course and sit for the examination.
Summer University
You can still register or de-register for Summer University in week 5 and 6. As for other courses your registration is binding after week 6.
