All the basics

If you are looking for flexibility in your programme, ITU Summer University could be the answer! You may be able to take a course that is part of your programme during the summer. This will give you meaningful summer-experiences and more time to focus on your other activities during the semester.

Courses and exams

Summer University offers both mandatory and electives courses, similar to the ones in your programme. Teaching will take place from week 29 to 31.
You should reserve week 28 to course preparatory activities. The schedule will be available at this page April 15.

The exam-plan for Summer University is as follows:

1. attempt: Week 32
2. attempt: Week 34
3. attempt: When the course is offered again. ​Be aware that you need to sign up for the course again. 

​Special conditions
If you are suffering from physical or mental disabilities, The Board of Studies can approve special conditions for your Summer University exam. The application deadline for Summer Universuty exams on special conditions is March 1. Read more about exams on special conditions here.

* For Software Development students in their first year, Algorithms and Data Structures is a pre-requisite for following the other second semester courses.
** Some of the lectures in ‘Introduction to Database Design’ and ‘Introduction to AI’ may be easier to follow if you are at the same time taking 'Algorithms and Data Structures’. However, there are no hard dependencies between the three courses.
