Young Professionals in DK - a career development programme

If you would like to pursue a career in Denmark after you graduate, widening your professional network and developing an insight to the Danish labour market and working culture while you study is important. 

ITU offer 15 international full-time MSc students the opportunity to become a part of a national wide career development programme – Young Professionals in Denmark. As a part of the programme you get support in finding a student job, and get the opportunity to get feedback from industry your CV, join International Talent Conferences and a number of career workshops supporting you as an international student settling in Denmark.

International Night for new international students

Project & Thesis Market 2019

Are you looking for a company or organisation to collaborate with on a project this semester? Or, are you starting to prepare for your thesis and looking for an industry partner? 70% of ITU students write a project or a thesis in collaboration with industry. Join this event and see if you should do so as well.

You will get to meet with interesting companies, organizations and ITU Labs, interested in working with you on a project. They will give you insights to their organisation and provide guidance, while you help them get a new perspective on their challenges. Some companies will bring specific project proposals, others will primarily be interested in learning more about your ideas and discuss how they might be able to support you. 

It is a very good idea to prepare for the event. You are welcome to swing by the Study & Career Guidance for a talk about how to best present your ideas for a project or what questions to ask, in order to find the right partner for you.

Mindfulness Training Course (in Danish)

Studie- og Karrierevejledningen tilbyder for første gang et forskningsbaseret mindfulnesskursus til alle studerende på ITU.
Kurset er et Mindfulnessbaseret Stressreduktionskursus (MBSR) på 8 uger.

Thesis Talks are presentations inspired by TED-talks, where students present the thesis projects that they handed in this summer - in just ten minutes.

A thesis is the result of months of hard work. Lots of new and sometimes cutting edge, knowledge are found in these projects. But unfortunately, the new knowledge often stays between the student and the supervisor. This is why you are invited to meet 14 brave graduates, ready to share their insights, inspire you for your upcoming projects and let you become very smart on trending topics in record time!

Hack Your Efficiency and Improve as a Student

Join this 3 hour workshop and get the tools you need to study efficiently and remember the things you learn! LinkedIn is the largest social media dedicated solely to professional networking and 55% of Danish companies make use of it in their recruitment process. Join this seminar to learn how to better navigate and present yourself through LinkedIn, improve your search for jobs and get confident in sharing your profile and building inspiring, professional networks. The workshop is not an A-Z walk-through of every function in LinkedIn, but will give insight to the newest developments, as well as tips and tricks on how to use LinkedIn while you are a student.

Lead the Future: Leadership in the IT Industry

Come and be inspired by 3 talented top leaders who all have great and interesting careers within the IT-industry. They will tell about their choice of education, their career path, how and why they became a leader, as well as their dreams and ambitions are for the future.

You will get a nuanced introduction to different leadership skills and the different tasks and responsibilities there can follow, when you aspire to be a leader or a manager. Attend the event and get a better understanding of your own strong sides when it comes to leadership skills, and get inspired on how to further develop these skills while being a student.
