Announcing the new Programme Vice Chancellor Martin Zachariasen says:

“I am very pleased to announce that ITU now offers a five-year education programme in data science. This is entirely in line with our mission: to deliver internationally leading teaching and research that enables Denmark to become exceptionally good at creating value with IT. There is a huge demand for data science specialists in both the private and public sectors, and this new master’s programme will ensure that ITU will contribute to meet this demand.”

The working group behind the programme is currently finalising the details on the programme. Head of Programme Barbara Plank says:

“We are very excited to bring this new programme to life. This will offer our BSc students in Data Science an MSc programme that is taught at a high academic level and will provide skills and competencies which are in high demand across industries.

The MSc Data Science courses are specifically designed to deepen the technical knowledge of the students in core Data Science areas. ITU is also becoming an important research hub for core Data Science in Denmark, providing students with a fertile study environment in which to learn about state-of-the-art Data Science in research and in practise.”
