Early and final evaluations

Early course evaluation

In the beginning of each course, teachers invite you and your fellow students to participate in an evaluation in class. This is your time to make yourself heard and share your good ideas and suggestions on how to make the course even better. When your share your opinion, the teachers have the possibility to adjust the course while it runs, which will ultimately help your learning.

What can be changed after the early evaluation?

Please notice that not everything is up for change. This goes for the intended learning objectives and the exam format for example. The teachers have the last word in deciding what to adjust.

Final course evaluation

At the end of each course, teachers invite you and your fellow students to participate in an evaluation in class to sum up and reflect on the learning process throughout the course. It is your chance to elaborate on viewpoints, feedback and ideas. After the evaluation is complete, the teacher and/or a few students write a summary of the evaluation.

FAQ written summary

The teacher and/or a few students write a summary of the evaluation.

To ensure that the students’ perspectives are fairly represented.

To act on behalf of the entire class and make sure that divergent opinions are represented in the summary.

You might opt for a divided evaluation. If either the students or the teacher(s) wish to write a separate paragraph to cover diverging opinions, feel free to include both a ‘student summary’ and a ‘teacher summary’ section in the written summary.

Either the teacher or a student submits the summary in LearnIT.

Only one summary per course should be submitted.

How to submit the summary in LearnIT?
  1. Access the LearnIT page of the course
  2. Click on the icon 'Final Evaluation Summary
  3. Click on 'Add entry'
  4. Write the summary
  5. Click on 'Save and view' to submit the summary
  6. The teacher can make the summary visible for all

All students and teachers on a course have access to the summary.

If the results of the survey at the end of the course show that there is a need to adjust the course, access to the summary will be given to employees working with quality assurance.
