Your written exam on premises

The written exam on premises can take different forms:
(It will show in WISEflow)

  • FLOWmulti (multiple choice or quiz)
  • FLOWhandin (assignment either digitally in WISEflow or on paper)

In both cases, the exam can be proctored using a Device Monitor.

Pen and paper exams
For pen and paper exams the exam is not accessed in WISEflow, but afterwards you will be able to see your submission in WISEflow.

Exam variations

The written exam on premises is always an individual exam

It is a requirement that you attend the exam at ITU and an online solution is not possible.

What is allowed for your exam

It is your responsibility to check which aids are provided and allowed at the exam.

Likewise check up on restrictions for your exam.

See the course description and check the course room to see if your course manager has added any relevant information about this.

Device monitor

The Device Monitor

The Device Monitor is a proctoring software within WISEflow that automatically logs the programs you have running on your computer and takes screenshots throughout your exam.

This will ensure that the requirements established for the specific exam form is meet while also ensuring academic integrity.

Photo ID

Picture ID (physical ID)

Photo and date of birth (e.g. passport, student ID, driving licence). Official ID.

Printed copies are accepted; invigilators decide if the quality is sufficient and may consult SAP.

SAP does not print photo IDs; students should contact FM to get a new student card printed, if time allows.

Digital ID (e.g. on a phone) is not allowed during exams, as phones must be switched off and put away.

Monitor

Your responsibility

Your equipment, including your laptop, is your responsibility. There is no support in case of technical problems related solely to your laptop. Therefore, make sure all your equipment is fully functional prior to the exam.

If internet access is permitted at the exam, it is also your responsibility to ensure that you have access to the internet. The only permitted network during written exams on premises is ITU++.

Arriving for the written exam

Written exams on premises can start at different times throughout the day.

Check your course page or TimeEdit for the specific starting time for your exam.

On the day of the exam

You need time to

- Deposit your mobile phone and/or other wireless communication devices for safekeeping with the invigilators. Kindly note this also goes for noise cancelling headphones.

- Make exam aids ready for inspection if the invigilators request an inspection.

- Fill in the name slip with your personal data, your signature and the data relevant for the course.

What to bring

- your student ID

- a black or blue pen if you are writing on paper

- Aids for your written exam on premises (please see the course description in the course base, to see what applies at this particular exam.

It is your own responsibility to remember to bring the aids you want to use, and to make sure that the aids are fully functional.

When to arrive

You should arrive at your designated exam room 15-45 minutes before the exam starts.

If you arrive later than 15 minutes before the start of the exam, you will receive a short briefing, after which you will be allowed to enter the exam room.

If you arrive after the exam has started, you cannot attend the exam.
